My customers often ask about air duct cleaning and if I could recommend anyone. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone that I trust to be honest and actually do the work and not try to sell much more than is required. Air duct cleaning scams are everywhere. Local companies are NO exception. Many have fancy logos and memberships implying they are "certified" and reputable. Anyone that buys ads or pay dues to the BBB, A List, home advisors and other websites claim to be verified, can display a logo.

Even if you find it necessary to have your air ducts cleaned, don't accept free dryer vent cleaning, also known as dryer duct cleaning! Air duct cleaning equipment is designed for larger and heavier ducts. This equipment has the potential to cause damage and leaks in a dryer vent. Should an air duct become damaged or start to leak, of course there will be an energy loss, but it will not be a threat to your safety. However, if a dryer vent becomes damaged and leaks, it will be a very significant threat to the health and safety of your family and home or business. Leave the dryer vent cleaning to a dryer vent cleaning specialist.
There may be a few reputable Air Duct cleaning companies, but I have only heard negative stories from my customers about this service. It really concerns me how they get away with all of the fake reviews I see. There is too much deception and a huge lack of customer service in the service industries today. I am often asked for recommendations for other trades. I hesitate to recommend anyone without knowing that they will always do a good job. If they do not, it reflects badly on me.
